About

Josie Deighton is a figurative artist, she draws directly from observation and imagination. This was achieved through rigorous studies in life drawing and human anatomy, culminating in an MA from The Royal Drawing School.

Her work has examined the contemporary ‘gaze,’ a fluid dialogue on power between artwork and audience. It is expanding to include more subtle and diverse plays of power. She draws daily, exhibits widely and enjoys teaching various public and private life drawing classes across London.
